Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

Today in the Stock Market

Dear Fellow Traders

The Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to make some modest gains on what was a relatively quiet trading day. The Dow has struggled to close above 10,900 for the last five sessions but finally managed to break through on Tuesday. Better-than-expected consumer confidence data could have helped the index rally and close in positive territory.

The Dow opened on Tuesday at 10,895 and managed to rally to a high of 10,940. The bears then quickly jumped into the market and drove the index to a low of 10,866. A rally in the last two hours of the session helped the index close in positive territory at 10,907. With the long weekend approaching, I am not expecting the market to break out of its current range.

djiamar31 300x245 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

The tech sector managed to hold on to some of its gains to close in positive territory. However QQQQ, the ETF of the NASDAQ Composite, is having trouble holding gains above $48.50. The ETF remains firmly in a range with support at $48.00 and resistance at $48.50.

QQQQ started Tuesday morning at $48.36, which was significantly higher than Monday’s closing price. The strong open helped the ETF rally to a high of $48.55 before sellers stepped in and drove QQQQ to a low of $48.06. The sell-off did not last long, and the bulls were able to drive the ETF back up to where it closed at $48.39.

qqqqmar31 300x245 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

The U.S. dollar continues to hold a strong grip in the foreign exchange market which is causing strong whip-saw movements in commodity markets and gold prices. GLD, the biggest gold ETF fell modestly Tuesday but continues to hold some of its gains from Friday’s strong rally. The ETF started the morning at $108.57 and managed to rally to a high of $108.66. In the afternoon the bears were in full control and GLD dropped to a low of $107.87, and then managed to close slightly higher at $107.97.

gldmar31 300x245 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

LHPT continues to consolidate but the range continues to tighten up. The more the price action narrows, the closer the stock is to breaking out. Trading volume remains strong with more than 1 million shares traded on Tuesday. LHPT started the day at $0.022 and managed to rally to a high of $0.0225.  In the afternoon the stock dropped to a low of $0.0175 and managed to close slightly higher at $0.018. This stock is finding some very good support at $0.018. If the stock holds this line we could see a very strong rally in the near term.

lhptmar31 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

BONZ continues to hold on to some of its gains and despite Tuesday’s weak close we still expect to see another big move in this stock. BONZ started the day at $0.047 and quickly rallied to a high of $0.049. Selling pressure later in the day caused the stock to fall to a low of $0.038. Looking at the chart the 20-day moving average is $0.039 and a drop past this price must have created a strong buy signal because investors were able to drive the stock higher and it closed at $0.042.

bonzmar31 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

We saw a similar move in our pick, EVPH. The stock continues to consolidate but the range is starting to tighten. EVPH opened at $0.245, which was its high for the day and then dropped to a low of $0.20. The $0.198 level represents the 20-day moving average, so the drop close to this level created a buy signal. Investors jumped back into the market and drove the stock to close at $0.221.

evph Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

We saw some profit taking in GBTO but that is not surprising considering the strong move it made on Monday. The stock continues to hold on to some of the gains it made from Monday’s massive gap at the open. GBTO opened on Tuesday at $0.259 and managed to rally to a high of $0.279, which was Monday’s closing price. This must have been a sell signal for some investors as they drove the stock to a low of $0.20.

gbtomar31 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

NRTLQ is finding some good support and continues to make some modest gains. The stock opened at $0.048 and fell to a low of $0.047, which was close to Monday’s low. Investors jumped into the market place and drove the stock to a high of $0.055. NRTLQ closed modestly lower at $0.049. Volume has dropped off compared to its rally on March 15, but if volume can grow again we should see another strong push higher.

nrtlqmar31 Wednesday March 31 Premarket Analysis

Have a Great Trading Day.

Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

Today in the Stock Market

Dear Fellow Traders,

The Dow Jones Industrial Average started the week off on a very strong note – it managed to rally 45 points during the day. An increase in consumer spending is helping to boost investor sentiment in the market place. Monday morning the U.S. government reported that Consumer spending increased for the fifth straight month, which is a strong sign that individuals are more confident on the overall health of the economy. However the Dow is having some trouble holding gains above 10,900.

On Monday the Dow opened at 10,849 and remained in positive territory for the entire day. The index rallied to a high of 10,916 but closed modestly lower at 10,896. I don’t think the market has enough momentum to hold major gains above 10,900 on what is a shortened trading week.

djiamar30 300x245 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

It was a relatively quiet day for the tech sector and it closed in neutral territory. QQQQ, the ETF of the NASDAQ Composite continues to consolidate in a fairly tight range with support at $48.00 and resistance at $48.50. As with the general market, I am expecting QQQQ to remain in this channel for the week.

The ETF started Monday at $48.23. The strong open helped propel QQQQ to a high of $48.40 before selling pressure caused it to drop to a low of $48.10. QQQQ managed to recover enough to close at its opening price.

qqqqmar30 300x245 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

A weakening U.S. dollar helped propel commodity prices on Monday and in particular gold prices. GLD, the most popular ETF, continues to recover after last week’s strong sell-off. The ETF gapped higher and opened Monday morning at $108.87. The strong open helped GLD rally to a high of $109.17 but investors started to take some profits and drove the price to a low of $108.40. The ETF closed modestly higher at $108.75, managing to hold on to some of its gains from the morning.

gldmar30 300x245 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

Monday’s price action in FWTC could highlight another reversal in this stock. It had a strong open but closed below Friday’s opening price and we are not confident that we will see much higher gains in the near term. FWTC gapped higher by $0.006 and opened at $0.07. However that was the high of the day and the stock sold off sharply for the entire session. FWTC hit a low of $0.045 and closed slightly higher at $0.048. With almost 8 million shares traded on Monday, there are a lot of sellers in the market place.

fwtcmar30 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

We are more confident of further gains in our recent pick LHPT. The stock continues to consolidate but the volume still supports higher prices. More than 3 million shares were traded on Monday. The stock managed to bounce off Friday’s close and opened at $0.02. Selling pressure in the morning caused LHPT to drop to a low of $0.017. However buyers were quick to jump back into the market and drove the stock higher to close at its opening price.

lhptmar30 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

We are also very confident about our pick BONZ. Volume remains strong with more than 300,000 shares traded during the session. Monday’s price action is an indication that the consolidation period is ending but there are still sellers in the market place. The stock opened at $0.044 and after hitting a low of $0.043 investors were able to drive the price to a high of $0.05. The stock fell under some pressure but closed in positive territory at $0.045.

bonzmar30 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

EVPH continues to eke out some gains, despite closing in negative territory on Monday. The stock had a very strong morning and opened at $0.27, well above Friday’s closing price. It managed to rally to a high of $0.285 before sellers stepped in and drove the stock to a low of $0.205. EVPH managed to bounce off that level and closed significantly higher at $0.23.

evphmar30 Tuesday March 30 Premarket Analysis

We saw a strong move in GBTO. This is a stock we have been covering for a while and we were very excited to see Monday’s price action. On Friday the stock closed at $0.14 and on Monday it opened at $0.24. In the first hour of trading the stock hit a low of $0.19 but by the afternoon, it rallied to a high of $0.34. The stock managed to hold on to most of its gains and closed at $0.28.

Have a great trading day,

Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

Today in the Stock Market

Dear Fellow Traders,

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is having trouble holding gains above 10,900. With March’s employment data to be released this Friday I don’t expect that barrier to be broken this week.  It could be a relatively quiet trading week because stock markets are closed on Friday in recognition of Good Friday. I am expecting to see the Dow Jones trade in a relatively tight range with resistance at 10,900 and support at 10,780.

March 26 was a relatively volatile day for the Dow Jones as it managed to hold on to some of its gains for the week then closed the day in positive territory. The index opened on Friday at 10,841 and buyers were quick to jump in and drove the Dow to a high of 10,909. However the market could not hold on to its gains and by the afternoon was trading in negative territory. The index hit a low of 10,816 but managed to find some support and closed just in positive territory at 10,850, nine points from the open.

Djiamar29 300x245 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

It was a similar story for the tech sector as it is having trouble holding on to most of its gains. QQQQ, the ETF of the NASDAQ Composite managed to end the week in positive territory. The ETF has rallied for four straight weeks but the price action on Friday is an indication that the tech sector is running out of momentum in the near term. QQQQ started Friday fairly strong and opened at $47.31. The ETF managed to rally to a high of $48.60 but then started to lose ground. QQQQ hit a low of $47.25 but managed a late afternoon rally to close the week at $48.00.

qqqqmar29 300x245 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

Gold prices managed to close the week in positive territory despite a strong sell off on Monday and Wednesday. GLD, the biggest gold ETF closed the week above the strong psychological level of $108. The U.S. dollar continues to dominate the gold market. When we start to see significant weakness in the U.S. dollar we will start to see a strong rally in gold prices. GLD opened on Friday at $107.16 and hit a low of $106.82. This created a strong buy signal and investors were able to drive the price to a high of $108.70. The ETF held on to most of its gains and closed slightly lower at $108.59.

gldmar29 300x245 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

We are very excited about our latest pick, FWTC. We took advantage of a two-day pullback and averaged down our position. We bought at $0.043 and Friday’s high represented a gain of 51%. However this is just the beginning. The rally on Friday was linked with very strong volume; more than 7 million shares were traded during the session. This is a very good indication that prices will move higher in the near term.

On Friday, FWTC opened at $0.05 and never looked back for the rest of the day. Bulls managed to drive the price to a high of $0.065 and the stock held on to most of those gains and closed at $0.064. A break above $0.065 could create a strong buy signal and we will see another push higher.

fwtcmar29 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

Our recent pick LHPT continues to consolidate with resistance at $0.03 and support at $0.015.  The fact that the stock continues to trade extremely high volume is an indication that there is a lot of interest in it. A large number of investors and traders have been talking about LHPT and it is only a matter of time before it break above $0.03 for the longterm. Quite a few investors have been using the pullback to load up on LHPT, similar to what we were seeing in FWTC.

Friday’s closing price is a definite buy for us, in fact anywhere between support and resistance is a good entry point. On Friday LHPT gapped significantly higher and opened at $0.029. However short-term traders used this point to take some profits and drove the price to a low of $0.016. The stock closed slightly higher at $0.017.

lhptmar29 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

BONZ continues to trade in a relatively wide range but the stock continues to hold on to some of its profits. However once this consolidation period ends we should see another strong move in this stock. On Friday BONZ opened at $0.047 and quickly rallied to its high of $0.052. Investors could not hold on to the gains and the stock dropped to its low of $0.040. The volatility quieted down in the afternoon and the stock closed modestly in negative territory at $0.044.

bonzmar29 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

After a two-day pullback, the price action in EVPH on Friday is a very good indication that we could see a reversal in this stock. The stock opened at $0.25, which was its high for the day. It quickly dropped to a low of $0.18 but investors were quick to take advantage of the lower price and drove the price back up. The stock ended the day at $0.245. The stock ended the day at $0.245. A move above $0.26 on strong volume could be a very good entry point for us.

evphmar29 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

WAMUQ appears ready to move higher. Despite a negative close on Friday the stock continues to hold on to its gains from a strong rally on Thursday. What makes this stock attractive is that it is extremely liquid. More than 12 million shares were traded on Friday and this is close to the daily average.

On Friday WAMUQ gapped higher and opened at $0.183 and managed to rally to a high of $0.184 before the price fell under pressure. The stock hit a low of $0.165 and finally closed the day at $0.169.

wamuqmar29 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

The pullback in NRTLQ appears to be coming to an end. On Friday the stock managed to close in positive territory and end a four-day losing streak. The stock opened at $0.046 and managed to rally to a high of $0.05. However, there were still some sellers in the market place and they drove the price to a low of $0.045. The stock managed to close slightly higher at $0.047.

nrtlqmar29 Monday March 29 Premarket Analysis

Low volume has caused some volatility in our January gold pick AGCZ. Just over 2,000 shares were traded on Friday. With that little volume it is hard to predict any future price action. The stock opened on Friday at $0.06, which was the low of the day and rallied to a high of $0.096 and closed slightly lower at $0.09.

Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

Today in the Stock Market

Dear Fellow Traders,

On Thursday investors were able to take advantage of Wednesday’s pullback and drove the Dow Jones Industrial Average to a new intra-day high. However bulls could not hold on to their gains and concerns in Europe once again dominate investor sentiment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average started the day at 10,837 and a strong open helped propel the index to a high of 10,955.  By the afternoon the bears were in full control of the marketplace and dragged the index down, a few points below the opening, to a low of 10,834. The index closed slightly higher at 10,841.

djiamar26 300x245 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

The price action in the tech sector was extremely similar to the moves in the general market. QQQQ, the ETF of the NASDAQ Composite started the morning off very strong. The ETF gapped higher at the bell and opened at $48.42. Investors were able to push QQQQ to a high of $48.60 but by the afternoon sellers had entered the market place and drove the stock to a low of $47.90. The ETF closed slightly higher at $47.95. I continue to watch the $48 level, which appears to be a strong psychological level at the moment. I think we could continue to trade at these levels for the near term.

qqqqmar26 300x245 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

Gold prices continue to be pushed around by the U.S. dollar. Overnight, the greenback hit a 10-month high against the euro. The strong U.S. dollar hurts commodity prices and in particular gold prices. GLD, the most popular gold ETF managed to open much higher from Wednesday’s drop but still closed lower than its opening price. GLD opened at $107.00 and managed to rally to a high of $107.25. However that was as far as the ETF rallied and then the bears took control. Sellers managed to drive GLD to a low of $106.48. The ETF closed slightly higher at $106.78.

gldmar26 300x245 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

We saw a strong open in our recent pick FWTC. However, investors were not able to hold its gains and the stock closed below its opening price. FWTC opened almost a full cent higher than Wednesday’s close. FWTC opened at $0.058, which was its high for the day. The problem with a major gap is that it takes all the momentum out of the price action. Sellers quickly jumped on the strong move and drove the stock to a low of $0.045. FWTC managed to recover and closed slightly higher at $0.049.

fwtcmar26 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

It was an interesting day for our January gold pick, AGCZ. Although volatility was high, the price action was relatively neutral. The stock opened at $0.085, which was its high for the day and dropped to a low of $0.068. Investors were quick to take advantage of the low price and drove the stock to close at $0.084.

agczmar26 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

We also saw some interesting price action in our recent pick BONZ. The price action was relatively neutral but I am very excited about the volume – more than 5 million shares were traded on Thursday. That strong price action is a very good indication that we will see higher prices in the near term. The stock gapped higher by $0.007 from Wednesday’s close and opened Thursday at $0.047. In the first hour of trading, the stock hit its intra-day high of $0.06 and its intra-day low of $0.04. The volatility died down in the afternoon and traded around its opening price. BONZ closed slightly higher at $0.048.

bonzmar26 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

LHPT appears to have reversed its downtrend and managed to make some modest gains Thursday. Investors were able to capitalize on Wednesday’s low price and growing momentum. The stock opened at $0.015, and never looked back. The stock managed to close at $0.019, which was its high for the day.

lhptmar26 Friday March 26 Premarket Analysis

It appears that WAMUQ is finding some support at $0.15, which was its low on Wednesday. WAMUQ opened at $0.1585 then hit a low of $0.157 before it moved higher. Investors managed to drive the stock to a high of $0.188 and it closed slightly lower at $0.1788.

Thursday March 25 Premarket Analysis

Today in the Stock Market

Dear Fellow Traders

Investors decided to take some of their profits off the table as the Dow Jones Industrial Average ran into some selling pressure on Wednesday. According to some commentary the fact that rating agency Fitch downgraded Portuguese government bonds to AA- is the cause for the sell-off. However, this is not a new revelation and investors probably used it more as an excuse to take profits than panicking over the downgrade.

The index started the day at 10,887 which was the high, fell to a low of 10,825, then closed slightly higher at 10,836. The index managed to hold on to most of its gains from Tuesday’s strong rally, which is another good indication that Wednesday’s move is more of a pullback than a reversal of the current trend.

The tech sector did not escape the selling pressure. QQQQ, the ETF of the NASDAQ Composite spent part of the day trading below a recent, important support level of $48. The ETF gapped lower on Wednesday and opened at $48.14 and spent the day in the red. QQQQ hit a low of $47.91 but managed to close above support at $48.02.

Although concerns over Portuguese government debt did not have a major impact on stock, it did have a major impact on currency markets. The U.S. dollar continues to hold its ground against the Euro, which caused a major drop in gold prices. GLD, the biggest gold ETF, gapped significantly lower on Wednesday and spent the entire day in negative territory. The ETF opened at $106.94 and only managed to rally to a high of $107.07 before the bears took control. GLD fell to a low of $106.24 and closed slightly higher at $106.30.

gldmar25 300x245 Thursday March 25 Premarket Analysis

Wednesday morning we released an email highlighting the imminent reversal of FWTC and we were not disappointed. The stock had a very strong morning on Wednesday – it gapped higher and opened at $0.051 and quickly rallied to a high of $0.059. However we did warn that there could be some selling pressure in the market place. Sellers were able to push the price to a low of $0.041, which was Tuesday’s closing price and provided some support. The stock managed to bounce off that level and closed higher at $0.046.

fwtcmar25 Thursday March 25 Premarket Analysis

Our January gold pick, AGCZ, is starting to show some movement and we are expecting to see another push higher. AGCZ started Wednesday at $0.08 and quickly rallied to a high of $0.09. In the afternoon the stock fell under some pressure and hit a low of $0.07 before it quickly recovered and closed in positive territory at $0.085.

agczmar25 Thursday March 25 Premarket Analysis

We are also excited about BONZ. After a two-day pullback the stock appears to be finding some support and we could see another push higher. BONZ gapped lower at the bell and opened at $0.037 and hit a low of $0.036. Then the stock quickly rallied and jumped into positive territory, hitting a high of $0.042. The stock managed to hold on to most of its gains and closed at $0.04.

bonzmar25 Thursday March 25 Premarket Analysis

We continue to see some selling pressure in LHPT, but like BONZ and FWTC, this pressure is beginning to ease. Volume remains strong but it is much lower than we saw on March 21 and 22. More than 3 million shares were traded on Wednesday, although volume continues to support higher prices. LHPT opened at $0.0255 and managed to rally to a high of $0.03 before the bears took control. The stock fell to a low of $0.013 but managed to rally by the end of the day and close at $0.0175.

lhptmar25 Thursday March 25 Premarket Analysis

The latest stock on our watch list is EVPH, which fell under some selling pressure. The stock gapped higher Wednesday morning and opened at $0.385, which was the high of the day. It then quickly fell under pressure and hit a low of $0.22.  The price managed to bounce off its low and moved above Tuesday’s opening price and closed at $0.26.

Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

Today in the Stock Market

Dear Fellow Traders,

With the health care debate finally over, it looks like investors are jumping back into the market. Some of the comments I heard on Tuesday revealed that investors can now focus on the impact the new legislation will have on health care and the economy, and not worry about what might happen.

The move in the Dow Jones Industrial Average is strong proof that investors are feeling more confident. On Tuesday the Dow managed to move higher by more than 100 points. The index started the day at 10,787 and only dropped three points, hitting a low of 10,784. The bulls were quick to jump on any weakness and drove the index to a high of 10,893. The index was able to hold on to most of its gains and closed at 10,888.

djiamar24 300x245 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

The tech sector also benefited from strong investor optimism. QQQQ, the ETF of the NASDAQ Composite broke through resistance and managed to close at its highest point since August 2008. The fact that NASDAQ has been able to recover all of its losses since the financial crisis, which started in October 2008, could help to boost sentiment. The next major resistance point I see for QQQQ is $50.

On Tuesday the ETF opened at $48.00 but fell under some selling pressure in the morning and dropped to a low of $47.77. However, any weakness was seen as a good buying opportunity and investors were able to drive the ETF to a high of $48.30. By the end of the day, QQQQ settled only five cents lower and closed at $48.25.

qqqqmar24 300x245 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

Gold prices are showing a modest recovery after two sharp down days. GLD, the biggest gold ETF, managed to end Tuesday above the recently important psychological level of $108. GLD started the day at $107.50 but some pressure caused it to fall to a low of $107.34. Again investors were quick to buy any weakness in gold and they managed to drive GLD to a high to a $108.50. The ETF closed slightly lower at $108.32.

gldmar24 300x245 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

It was a good day for our January gold pick AGCZ. The stock has been under some pressure lately, but according to a research report by Gluckstein and Silverspoon the stock is extremely under priced. The research firm has a 12-month price target of $0.32. The interest in the stock helped increase activity in AGCZ.

More than 700,000 shares were traded on Tuesday and AGCZ managed to close at its high of the day. The stock opened at $0.075 and the stock quickly rallied to a high of $0.13. However investors were not able to hold those gains and the stock fell to a low of $0.068. When the dust settled the stock closed at $0.08.

agczmar24 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

It looks like investors are jumping back into our recent pick FWTC. Although the stock finished the session in negative territory, there are signs that sellers are leaving the market place and are being replaced by buyers. The volume was strong on Tuesday with more than 1 million shares traded, but this is still well below the recent average we have seen.

FWTC started the day at $0.048 and managed to rally to a high of $0.049 before investors started to sell again. The stock hit a low of $0.032 but this low price must have created a strong buy signal because investors jumped in and drove the price higher. FWTC ended the day at $0.041.

fwtcmar24 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

We are adding a new stock to today’s list that we think has very strong potential and is drawing a lot of interest. EVPH has been on a very strong rally and after a pullback on Monday the stock is resuming its uptrend. On Tuesday the EVPH opened at $0.025 and after the open fell back slightly to a low of $0.024. This was close to Monday’s opening price and created a strong buy signal. Investors were able to push the stock to a high of $0.036 and managed to hold on to most of those gains by the end of the day when it closed at $0.033.

evphmar24 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

We continue to see some selling pressure on BONZ but there are signs that the pressure is starting to weaken. Again volume was weaker than the previous action we’ve seen. The stock continues to hold on to its gains since we started covering this stock at $0.032.

On Tuesday BONZ started the day at $0.047 and managed to rally to a high of $0.049 before the bears took control. The stock fell to a low of $0.036 before finding some support. The stock managed to rally and ended the day at $0.04. Once the sellers have left the market we should continue to see the stock resume its uptrend.

bonzmar24 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

LHPT continues to consolidate in a relatively tight range. The stock appears to be finding some support at $0.025. If this price can hold, it should start to attract investors and create a strong rally. Volume remains strong, which is a very positive sign this stock is ready to explode.

On Tuesday LHPT opened at $0.027 and managed to rally to a high of $0.031. However later in the day we saw some profit taking, which caused the stock to drop to a low of $0.025, where it closed. Tuesday’s low was also Monday’s session low, which is why I think this price will remain as support in the near term.

lhptmar24 Wednesday March 24 Premarket Analysis

WAMUQ continues to consolidate and although volume is strong with over 15 million shares traded on Tuesday, it is well below the average for the month. This is the main reason why I am not paying too much attention to the selling pressure. I am looking for signs of a reversal and the stock might drop to a low of $0.15 before we see investors jump into the market place.

On Tuesday the stock opened at $0.169 and managed to hit a high of $0.172 before falling lower. WAMUQ hit a low of $0.16 but when the dust settled it closed at $0.165.
